Acrylic Extension FAQ

What are acrylic nail extensions?
Acrylic nail extensions are created through a process of mixing a monomer liquid with a polymer powder, When mixed together, they form a paste that is then applied over the nail and tip with a brush.
Acrylic nails are incredibly durable, easily able to withstand your usual daily tasks. They can also give your natural nails some protection from breaking or cracking.


How long do acrylic nail extensions last?
Acrylic nails tend to last for 3-4 weeks, with the addition of fills every two to three weeks depending on how quickly your nails grow. Although acrylic nails might seem like the perfect solution to not having to repaint your nails every week, they do require regular trips to the salon for infill to ensure that you are maintaining them properly.


Can i have any lengths and shapes with acrylic nail?
Yes, you can have any shape and length as your desire such as square, squoval, almond-shaped, or even the pointy, claw-like stiletto shape.
The popularity of some over others can vary. Some of the most popular acrylic nail shapes currently are: Coffin shaped acrylic nails are similar in shape to ballerina and stiletto shapes, but with a squared tip. 


Can i have extra nail art, glitters on acrylic nails?
Yes, custom nail art design,  glitters and Swavroski crystal can be applied at an extra cost depending on timing and extra product used.


What is acrylic infill?
An infill is the process of filling in the gap near the cuticle following nail growth, shorten the length and new nail polish then applied . The technician will also rebalance your acrylic extensions to keep the bulk of the product at the highest point of your nail to prevent breaking or splitting.


How do you remove acrylic nail extensions?
Acrylic nails are removed by soaking them in acetone for 10-15 minutes, the product is then scraped off using a metal tool, the nail then filed, shaped and buffed. Cuticle oils applied to nourish the nail plate and cuticle areas. 


Are acrylic nail extensions bad for your nails?
Many people claim acrylic extensions damage the natural nails – but that’s not necessarily true.
Contrary to popular belief, acrylic does not damage your nails. If your technician preps the nails correctly and practises safe removal, your natural nails will be damage-free.
A helpful tip is to massage your nails with some essential oils from time to time – providing you haven’t just got a set reapplied. This will help to moisturise and nourish your nails ready for their next application.

Fiber Gel FAQ

What are fiber gel?
Fiber Coat gel contain fiber particles that make the gel firmer, offers the perfect balance between flexibility and hardness. Make very thin nails that are incredibly strong. 
Can be used on almost any natural nail before gel polish application for longer lasting gel manicure,  natural nail growth strong without breaking, splitting.


Can fibber gel be used with extension tips?
yes, however with only short natural length.


Can fiber gel be infilled? 
yes, every 3 weeks refilled is recommended to fill in the gap near the cuticle following nail growth, shorten the length and new layer of fibber gel following with gel colour.
